Cabinet sides
All corners and curves have to be sanded carefully, because all uneveness in the template will be visible in the finished workpiece.
After finishing the template, i cut the cabinet sides to their later shape with an additional half inch in every direction. In this way i save time with the routing. The picture shows the router with the mounted guide bushing and a cylinder cutting bit with a diameter of 16mm.
The template is fastened with screw clamps on the cabinet side. Now i only have to route the shape along the guidance. When the router reaches a screw clamp, i take it away and fasten it behind the router. A vacuum cleaner atached to the router helps to keep saw dust at a minimum. The picture shows the first finished cabinet side.
Next comes the groove for the t-molding.
