The hardware

I did my first tests on a discarded PC with a intel P3 and 256 MB ram. After compiling AdcanceMame took several hours, i decided to buy something new. This is the list of the parts:

• Mainboard: Asus P5S800-VM
• CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3Ghz
• RAM: 1 x 1GB DDR Ram
• Hard disk: 80 GB
• An old network card and a cheap sound- and graphics card from ebay

I bought the new case including a 400W power supply for about USD 15! Of cause, the power button didn't work and the openings for the pci-cards needed some work with gaspipe pliers to make them fit. But i didn't expect anything else for that price.
