The Q*bert-style one player control panel

To make my arcade cabinet look like the original thing, i need a Q*bert-style one player control panel. The original only had one four-way joystick which was mounted diagonally, and a start button for player one and two. Thats not much, even not for minimalists, so i add 3 extra buttons and use a 8-way joystick.

The control panel after painting. The smooother the finish, the better the self-adhesive vinyl will stick. Before i apply the vinyl, i wait soome days to make sure the paint is really dry.

Buttons and joystick

The arcade controls. The joystick should have been completely black, but i couldn't find one that fitted. The three additional buttons are yellow, so they don't stand out.

Bohrungen

The control panel with the openings for 5 pushbuttons and one joystick.

The connection to the IPac.
